COACHES Information and Links Section 3, Area T, Region 220 - As of 1/1/2001, by Federal Law (Volunteer Protection Act), coaches who are not certified are not allowed to coach AYSO teams, and do not have AYSO liability coverage.
- AYSO provides the coaches with continuing education:
Safe Haven, age appropriate
training, a net with soccer balls, first aid kit, whistle, ball pump, goalie vest, gloves, set of assistant referee flags, coach planner and other training materials.
- Youth Volunteers can be assistant coaches age 12 through 18, who can coach players at least 2 years younger than they are.
- Every volunteer registers annually via a registration form that bares their signature.
